About the artist
When I was three years old, my mother bought me the 64-count box of Crayola crayons – and I’ve been creating ever since. I’m a largely self-taught contemporary realist, and while I’ve dabbled in a variety of mediums over the years, these days I concentrate largely on acrylic paintings and graphite drawings.
I love bright colors, moody skies, local landmarks, neon signs, stalking a location under various weather conditions for the ideal reference photo, and finding the beauty in the mundane. Nothing brings me more joy than someone entrusting me to paint a portrait of a beloved family member (that includes furry friends).
I currently reside in Texas with my husband and Boston Terrier.

Where it all began…
This is my very first painting - I was in the 4th grade and my mom convinced an oil painting instructor, who only taught adults, to take me on. (Thanks to Bobbi Harrington wherever you are for taking a chance on an eight year old and recognizing a talent and passion to be cultivated).
